This is for people who wish to add me as a friend, and please do so! New friends are one of my very favorite things!

My name is Christine, and I shan't bore you with an entire essay about myself. I wouldn't know where to begin and frankly, it would be tedious to read! This is more for my benefit, and for anyone who is more cautious about adding people to their friends list. If it offends you or if you find me vain, then I apologize and assure you that I am just the opposite.

I have few close friends, but the ones I have I am very, very close to. My closest are Alyssa, Mary, Brooke, and Jake.

Some just-as-close friends but people I do not see as often are Melissa, Luisa, Meredith, Charlotte, and Sharon. Most of them live in Tallahassee, and I'm not able to see them as often as I'd like.

I have many online friends and I am very close to them as well. My two closest have to be PJ and Lisa. We used to write phic together under the names The Scorpion and The Grasshopper. She is more active now than I am, although I am trying to get back into writing again.

I really enjoy Asian and Italian food. I am a very picky eater and it's a joke in my family that I only eat out of one food group. I adore bread and pasta and fruit! And that's about it! I will hardly-ever eat the crusts on my bread, and I detest vegetables and tomatos, which should be vegetable! ::nods:: :D

I've taken voice lessons for about seven years now, and I enjoy them very much. I first became introduced into music through my father. When I was younger he let me sing with him and his brothers, who used to have a band -- my father plays the guitar and is extremely good at it.

I'm a very high and light soprano. My lower range leaves something to be desired, but it's getting slowly better. I've always wanted to have a rich mezzo voice, but the fates do not agree! I'm also a tentative pianist, but I'm so horrible at it that I should just give it up altogether before I drive everyone insane! :D A popular phrase in my house: "Hide the piano!!"

I gave up ballet dancing long ago, but I still have my shoes and my tutus and I miss it all of the time.

My major was English, but I have decided to rejoin the music school at Stetson University as a Voice Performance major. I want to be an opera singer, even though I know that that goal may be far out of reach.

I have a long-haired Siamese kitty named Louis and I adore him to pieces. Also, I will always call dogs puppies and cats kitties, no matter how old they are. I'm not sure if I ever wish to get married or have children, but if I do not, then I'm certainly bound to be a crazy catlady. Or a nun!

I would like to live by the ocean one day, on a cliff, and with a porch swing and a wraparound porch! It'd have to have safe passage down to the water, of course. I have a strong pull towards the ocean, but I dare not take one step in it if it's after dark. Even during the day I do not like to go very deep.

Other things that I'm afraid of include spiders, airplanes, pain, needles, and blood. I do not like airplanes because I had several surgeries on my ears when I was younger and it made plane rides very painful for me. I don't have a very high pain tolerance at all, which is another reason that I am not sure if I want to have children. I hate taking shots, too, and I have to close my eyes or hold someone's hand when I go to the doctor.

I adore the Victorian era. I believe that I belong more in that time period than the one I am in now. I love tea, parasols, pinafores, corsets, pantaloons... I could go on and on! I'm very "girly" and at times I come off as prissy and aloof, when really I'm off in my own daydreams. I daydream a lot, and I often zone out if someone isn't speaking to me. On most of my report cards teachers would put that I had a difficult time paying attention. I did--and still do! :D

I'm technologically-challenged. I'm not as bad as some people, I suppose, but I am completely unable to fix things when the time calls for it. I usually have to call my brother to do it for me...

I also cannot cook, unless there are instructions. And even then I get confused. It officially gives me the title of Most Ineffectual Housewife Ever. :(

I love to play dress-up and have a myriad of costumes in my closet. Corsets, cloaks, dresses, wedding-dresses, hats, wigs! I haven't used all of them in shows, I just like to have them. I still play dress-up whenever I get the chance.

I collect everything. Hair ribbons, music boxes, roses, Victorian clothing, perfume bottles, stuffed animals, lockets, unicorn statues, all kinds of dolls (particularly porcelain and Madame Alexander dolls), Venetian masks, Christmas ornaments (you can never have too many), tulle and lace, and potpourri.

Fantasy is one of my favorite genres, and I love mermaids and unicorns and winged-unicorns. They are my favorite animals--and they exist.

When it comes to "normal" animals I like kittens.

Oh, and I tend to be rather shy. :)

There is so much more that I could write, but I won't bore you. If you've read this and still want to friend me, go right ahead! Please leave a comment HERE to do so. :)
